Richard Case

President of Sundance Mortgage Company
and Sundance Real Estate Company
15000 Oak Canyon Road
Poway, CA 92064

Following college with a BA degree in Economics, Richard pursued a career in business. At one time, he became the regional manager of PacTel Info-Systems in Los Angeles providing national accounts LAN solutions. Thirteen years ago (1994) Richard Case founded Sundance Mortgage Company and in (1995) Sundance Real Estate Company, concentrating on single-family transactions. He has grown the business from a single person working out of his home to a corporation employing as many as twenty-two people, providing residential, construction and commercial loans, helping hundreds of people find new home, while working out of a 2,500 square foot office in a modern business complex.

Prior to starting his own business, Richard worked at Bank of America and several local mortgage companies as a loan officer working his way through various positions. He eventually became a sales trainer. He decided to start his own business after seeing others in his industry succeed after he trained them. He started slowly, but built up a following of clients who have returned to use his services year-after-year.

Richard started to bring other loan officers and realtors into the company in late 2000. He began with just a few employees who only worked part-time. As the market heated up, Richard brought on more loan officers and realtors on a full-time basis and expanded his geographic target to all of California and eventually, across the country.

In early 2003, with a staff of eleven full-time loan officers and real estate agents and three full-time loan processors, Richard Incorporated the company under the name R. L. Case Enterprises, Inc. Since then, Sundance Mortgage Company and Sundance Real Estate Company has helped hundreds of families find the home of their dreams.

In the past three years, the objective of R. L. Case Enterprises, Inc. has been to move the company into banking in order to give the client better rates and the company a greater control over the funding of its loans. This was achieved through creating correspondent relationships with multiple lenders and funding loans through the company’s line of credit. Currently, R. L. Case Enterprises, Inc. has a multi-million dollar line of credit, a half-dozen correspondent lenders, and is able to fund loans in as little as two days.

Pat Moore earned the right to retire after working for 20 years in corporate America, but it didn’t take him too long to realize he was not the retiring type. He sought a second career that would allow him to use his strong communications skills to help people, and he found that opportunity with Farmers Insurance. For the past several years, he has operated his Rancho Bernardo office with a focus on being the “Nordstrom’s of the insurance industry.”

Pat and the two agents who work for him provide a full range of insurance products to clients: auto, home, life and health. As a Registered Representative, he is also able to offer investment services, which includes setting up clients in mutual funds, 401Ks and IRAs.

Building his business is a priority for Pat, but even more important to him is ensuring that every client has a good experience, even if he is unable to provide assistance. Whether he serves in a consultative role, or he writes policies, he enjoys having the opportunity to counsel clients about the importance of being properly insured.

Prior to entering the insurance field, Pat worked in the medical equipment manufacturing industry. He designed and sold equipment used by individuals undergoing rehabilitation for neurological and spinal cord injuries, pediatric disabilities, and other non-acute care conditions. At one time, he had 25 sales representatives in 23 states working for him.

Pat is a Sacramento native, but he and his wife, Lindy, have lived in San Diego since 1980. Their son and his wife have three young children and also live in the San Diego area. Pat and Lindy enjoy the time that they can spend with their grandchildren. Pat’s focus on his own family drives his passion to ensure that all families have adequate insurance coverage
